Adapters

Gateway Safety adapters are mounting systems that attach to most safety helmets, allowing workers to combine head protection and face protection in a single integrated setup. They are compatible with Gateway Safety visors and most standard hard hats, providing a versatile solution for workers who need both types of protection simultaneously.

Adapters are commonly used in applications such as grinding, woodworking, forestry, food processing, and chemical handling — anywhere workers need face shield coverage in addition to hard hat protection. By mounting directly to the hard hat, adapters eliminate the need for a separate headband-mounted face shield.

Gateway Safety adapters are designed to work with visors and most safety helmets and cap adapter brands. When selecting an adapter, verify compatibility with your specific hard hat model and the visor style you intend to use to ensure proper fitment and secure attachment.

When an adapter is combined with a visor, the assembly provides full-face coverage from the forehead to below the chin — protecting against flying debris, sparks, splash, and chemical mist in environments where eye protection alone is insufficient.

OSHA requires face protection in environments where workers are exposed to flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acid or caustic liquids, chemical gases, or intense light.
