StarLite® FOAM is UL-certified to ANSI Z87.1+ and CSA Z94.3 and meets MIL-PRF 32432 (GL), the ballistic impact resistance requirement in the U.S. Military Performance Spec.
StarLite® FOAM adds a soft foam edge along the top and sides of the standard StarLite® lens to block dirt, debris, and perspiration. It bridges the gap between standard safety glasses and full goggles, providing enhanced debris protection without the bulk or heat retention of a sealed goggle.
This StarLite® FOAM variant features a full range lens in a frameless design with black/dark gray foam-lined temples. The fX2 Anti-Fog coating provides fog resistance — important in foam-lined eyewear where reduced airflow near the lens can increase fogging risk.
StarLite® FOAM is well-suited for construction, landscaping, grinding, woodworking, and any dusty environment where standard open-frame glasses allow debris to enter around the lens edges. The foam absorbs sweat as well, making it practical for warm or physically demanding work conditions.
Like the original StarLite®, the FOAM version features deep universal-fit temples that provide wraparound side protection equivalent to large side shields, combined with the foam barrier along the top and sides for enhanced debris blocking.
