StarLite® FOAMPRO® is UL-certified to ANSI Z87.1+ and CSA Z94.3 and meets MIL-PRF 32432 (GL), the ballistic impact resistance requirement in the U.S. Military Performance Spec.
OptiFit™ Foam is a tapered closed-cell foam design that creates a more custom, contoured seal around the eyes compared to standard flat foam edges. The tapered profile conforms better to facial contours, reducing gaps where dust or debris could enter while remaining comfortable for extended wear.
This StarLite® FOAMPRO® variant features a full range lens with Amber|Clear|Gray temples. The fX2 Anti-Fog coating is especially important in foam-lined eyewear, where reduced airflow can increase fogging tendency — the venting channels in the foam provide additional support in managing this.
StarLite® FOAMPRO® features channels along the foam lining that work in combination with the anti-fog lens coating to minimize fogging. This dual approach — venting channels plus anti-fog coating — addresses the main drawback of foam-lined eyewear, which is reduced airflow near the lens.
The FOAMPRO® upgrades the standard FOAM model with the OptiFit™ tapered foam design, which creates a tighter, more custom seal than flat foam edges. This results in better dust exclusion performance while the closed-cell foam still absorbs perspiration and the venting channels reduce lens fogging.
