Standard metal detectable products (such as Tri-Grip® MD and SoftSeal™ MD) contain a discrete metal insert in the earplug body and a metal detectable cord, meaning detection relies on those specific metal elements. MTek® products use metal-infused resin throughout the entire plug body and cord material — providing tip-to-tip detectability where every component and every fragment, however small, can trigger metal detection systems.
Food processing facilities use in-line metal detection systems to identify and remove contaminated product before it reaches consumers.
