The vented Serpent® Cap Style is certified to ANSI Z89.1 Type 1 in Class C only. It also meets High Visibility, Higher Temperature, Lower Temperature, and Reverse Donning certifications.
Serpent® Cap Style is available in 11 shell colors — Black, Blue, Gray, Green, Hi-Viz Limon, Hi-Viz Orange, Orange, Pink, Red, White, and Yellow — in both Vented (Class C) and Unvented (Class E/G) configurations. This breadth covers high-visibility, standard industrial, electrical, and specialty applications across diverse workforces and job environments.
Serpent® Cap Style features an eight-point, six-strap nylon suspension system that distributes impact forces across a larger contact area than standard four-point suspensions. The greater number of contact points improves both impact absorption and fit stability, keeping the helmet in position during movement.
The Serpent® Cap Style includes a rotating ratchet suspension adjustment that allows workers to achieve a custom fit with a single-handed twist. The ratchet maintains its setting during work — unlike slide-adjust systems that can loosen — and is particularly useful in environments where workers frequently put on and remove their helmets.
The unvented Serpent® is available in Class E (electrical, rated to 20,000V) and Class G (general, rated to 2,200V). The vented version is Class C only (conductive, not electrical rated). Always select the appropriate class for the electrical hazard level present in your work environment.
