The vented Serpent® Full Brim is certified to ANSI Z89.1 Type 1 in Class C only, plus High Visibility, Higher Temperature, Lower Temperature, and Reverse Donning.
Serpent® Full Brim is available in 7 shell colors — Blue, Green, Hi-Viz Limon, Hi-Viz Orange, Red, White, and Yellow — in both Vented (Class C) and Unvented (Class E/G) configurations, covering high-visibility, standard, and electrical-rated outdoor applications.
The full brim design extends all the way around the circumference of the helmet — front, sides, and back — providing 360-degree sun and weather protection that cap-style helmets do not offer. This makes the Serpent® Full Brim particularly well-suited for outdoor workers in direct sunlight, rain, or dusty conditions where lateral and rear coverage matters.
Like the Cap Style, Serpent® Full Brim features an eight-point, six-strap nylon suspension that distributes impact energy across more contact points than a standard four-point design, while the rotating ratchet provides a custom, secure fit with a single-handed adjustment.
The key difference is the brim: Serpent® Full Brim extends all around the helmet for 360-degree sun, rain, and debris protection, while Cap Style only has a front brim. Full Brim is preferred for outdoor environments with overhead sun exposure, rain, or fine dust; Cap Style is common in indoor industrial environments or where workers need better peripheral visibility.
